Goodtok: An open-source tool for better customer engagement (and a better shopping experience) reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sanderspedro · 2023-12-22 20:10 I’m having a hard time putting this in simple words, so I'll tell a story! Scenario: Imagine you go to a website to buy an expensive item. (For the sake of example, you are buying a camera.) You've been surfing at cameras.com and found one you like, but it's not clear if it has support for streaming. What do you do? Spend a bunch of time doing research, only to miss an important piece of information, or simply leave and not buy the item. Sound familiar? That's what I call a lose-lose situation. Let's try again with Goodtok: You go to the same website and find a camera you like. You do some research, but it's still not clear if it has support for streaming. You see a chat button and decide to click on it to have a 1-1 video chat with an expert. Within a few minutes, you know if the camera has everything you need and decide to buy the item. You are now a happy customer :) The end. === Any ways I hit few important milestones and you can try the tool with Gitpod here: https://github.com/fonoster/goodtok ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bitter_Motor_9081 · 2023-12-22 20:41 I get the idea and it's very interesting.
