I host a jellyfin and a few other stuff on my proxmox server. is this possible to setup for a beginner or is this more of an advanced setup? also looking to expand my knowlege on this kind of stuff. Any help is appreciated! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- barlap · 2023-12-20 19:17 Hello here is a quick setup tutorial: Step 1: Buy a domain from a domain name provider (ex: godaddy/namecheap or any other domain provider you choose) Step 2(optional): transfer the domain nameservers to cloudflare. This step is optional but is an aditional layer of security between you and the internet. It will hide your home IP adress under cloudflare proxy. Step 3: Create in the dns recordings to point towards your ip or you can set up a NPM (Nginx proxy manager) in order to create a proxy between dns and your internal network (I recommend this rather than port forward each internal ip in you router interface) Dm me if you need extra info. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- turbocharged5652 · 2023-12-20 19:29 I will work on that then. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PlaypusAdrien · 2023-12-20 20:22 hello, Cloudflare provide a service names Cloudflare tunnel. It's a little app on your computer who is connected with Cloudflare. You need to enter a code which Cloudflare give you the first time, and it's all. After that, you go on the cloudflare website, and you associate a website link like [plex.yourdomain.com](https://plex.yourdomain.com) and a local IP (localhost:32400). The big advantages is: \- You can install this on 1 machine who has access to all the network \- When a user go on the site, it point to the Cloudflare Ip Adress and not yours \- IT'S FREE ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kee02041 · 2023-12-21 05:40 You dont have to transfer domain to cloudflare inorder to use cloudflare, just change the nameserver will do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nintenuendo_ · 2023-12-21 10:02 Well, I do this [over here](https://nintenuendo.tv).
