What can I set up to view Eufy Camera access reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- gofigured21 · 2023-12-19 16:00 I have a eufy ecosystem (doorbells, camera etc) and the Eufy app installed on multiple devices to view this. Eufy doesn’t support access logging. The Eufy Homebase is directly connected to the router via Ethernet. I believe the app connects to the Homebase and then the Homebase connects to the device. What can I set up in my network to view when the Homebase has been connected to? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ericesev · 2023-12-19 16:59 I suspect the Homebase is connected to the Eufy cloud where they have full access. The mobile app also likely connects to the cloud and proxies the requests to the Homebase. The only observable thing will be an increase in IP traffic between the Homebase and the cloud. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- stupv · 2023-12-19 18:28 The eufy ecosystem can work without the home base, so I wouldn't be too confident on E erytbjng going through it traffic wise ---------------------------------------------------------------------- from-nibly · 2023-12-19 19:53 If you want to just see network traffic going to/from the home base device I think you want a firewall like opnsense. Or maybe your router has connection logs? But that will likely be a firehose. I'm assuming all the devices are connecting to it constantly and the home base connects out to the cloud a lot to phone home etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- gofigured21 · 2023-12-19 20:54 That wonder if that would be enough. How would I go about achieving this.
