NAS with Asus Z690M-Plus D4 motherboard - Power LED flashes

My NAS has the Asus Z690M-Plus D4 motherboard with the intel i3-12100
and 32GB ram. The system is working fine - the only thing that baffles
me is that the power LED is continuously flashing.

The system is not put into sleep mode. There are no other issues
hardware wise with the motherboard.

Any ideas?

Maybe the led is in the hdd-led position?
What is the flashing pattern?

It has a slow blinking - the LED slowly blinks on and off at a
consistent pace. Very much so as if it is on sleep mode.

I have double checked - I didnt connect the LED to the hdd-led on the
motherboard. It is definitely the header for the power LED.

Just an update for anyone facing the same situation as me.

I was on Bios version 2801 when I have this blinking LED issue.

I have today updated to the firmware version 3001 - from ASUS website
this firmware is dated 2023.12.20.

After the update, the blinking LED issue is gone.
