Scheduling tasks for workshop

I am building a backend for a franchise of workshops. The clients
service their machines there. Each franchise has employees that work a
certain number of hours. The employees perform services on the
machines that take different number of hours. The machines are
expensive and have unique IDs and service history.

The workflow is that customers call and book services for their
machines, workshop staff can find times available, update progress on
work and produce a bill once service is completed.

Is there a good template or library to start from? I don't want to
reinvent the wheel. Is there some good open source project that I
could fork? This is going to be a sizeable project with a fair amount
of custom business logic but I am hoping I don't have to do all the
work.

This would be similar to how a dentist office or a hairdresser would
work. A schedule with staff that have availability hours and get tasks
assigned to them. The various tasks have set prices, times and a
customer that have booked them.
