An Open Source & Self Hosted alternative to Terraform Cloud (For Concurrent Runs, Drift Detection, RBAC and OPA) reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- izalutski · 2023-12-18 19:51 Hey folks, one of the founders of Digger here. Over the last few weeks, we have shipped a bunch of new updates to Digger - Including a simple dashboard with a view of all runs, repos and projects, Drift Detection (Slack Alerts) and Role Based Access Controls via OPA. Today, we have also enabled the ability to self host the orchestrator backend that triggers jobs. Digger runs in your CICD system, you bring your own state storage (S3). With the ability to host the orchestrator backend, you can now ensure that data resides wherever you want it to, too. This means that now you can see all your projects, connect repositories, view history of terraform runs all while hosting it yourself. Would love to learn what subsequent features would be of interest to the community here Here’s a guide on self hosting Digger - [https://docs.digger.dev/self- host/deploy-binary](https://docs.digger.dev/self-host/deploy-binary) https://preview.redd.it/zrxwp0y8y37c1.png?width=2940&format=png&auto=w ebp&s=7267be563054c42fa146dbf345da6f274d716971 **What's Digger?** Digger is an Open Source Infrastructure as code management platform that helps you run Terraform/OpenTofu within GitHub Actions. Digger reuses the CI compute that's used for application code builds so that you don't overpay for 3rd party managed compute for IaC. Community contributions and feedback has been very helpful for us in understanding what should we prioritise in building - so would love to get any feedback - good, bad AND ugly!
