Cloudron free tier "bypass" ? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Capital-Swimming7625 · 2023-12-18 13:57 I own a cloudron free tier with 2 apps : Nextcloud + n8n. The limit is 2 apps, but i want to add a Lamp server for hosting a mysql database and a website. And i don't want to pay 15$/m just for an extra app. Can i do this on my Ubuntu without breaking everything ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- xbxz · 2023-12-18 14:22 Why don't you vanilla host your apps on your server w/o Cloudron? I mean it's not that hard or rocket science. Even you can use portainer in case you don't want to use/learn docker cli. By doing it manually, you can host as many as you'd like. Use nginx for reverse proxy and letsencrypt for ssl and you're done. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Capital-Swimming7625 · 2023-12-18 15:31 im not invested enough in self hosting to start messing with these things. My only usage of my 120gb cloudron server is web-scraping and automation "center", executing python scrappin and storing temporarily before sending to s3 glacier. Can i just install lamp stack on the same ubuntu just using different ports ? Or should i instead install lamp as part of my 2 free apps, and install n8n locally ?
