Can you use your NPM proxy domain name with Tailscale? or you'd have
to use the tailscale assigned IP address to reach your server outside
of your home network?

You can’t use TailScale to access outside like public ip.

You can have what they have magic dns, but I think only resolve name
by ip only, I think you can’t use NPM with TailScale.

So basically, when I'm in my home network, I can access my server via
my configured subdomains with NPM, but once I'm outside of my network,
I can only use magic DNS name or tailscale assigned IP address to
access the server, right?

Yes. I never tried, but I think your car add manually sub domains or
use it at TailScale, but I don’t know. You can just try.

Since magic dns works on machine hostname, probably you can use
sub.pchostane, I think I might work.
