I am one of those types who forgets "less important" stuff in life on
daily basis. My wife doesnt think those are less important things and
there is the source of the conflict :)

But for a while I had been thinking about a self-hosted dashboard
which might have following features.

\- A shared calendar that can take inputs from both me/wife's google
calendar. Possibly has the ability to send texts/email

\- Sharing notes

\- Bookmarking stuff for handy references

\- Task Management, individual and together.

I envision adding a dedicated monitor next to my desk at home and one
in my office where I can see my today and tomorrow's calendar, tasks
to finish, chores I have signed up for and upcoming reminder, even
stuff like grocery list.

Anything that can be customized in this way?  I already have a
nextcloud running for us.

You can do pretty much all of that with NextCloud.

[CryptPad](http://cryptpad.fr/) has all of this, including sharing,
and self hosting
