How do you get Jellyfin to just use direct play?

My hardware is not the best and transcoding is too difficult. I would
like Jellyfin to direct play everything. I have converted everything
with libx264 and audio is aac. Many times it says it's transcoding
because "the bitrate exceeds the limit". Any advice?

If you have the playback quality in the HTML player set below the
bitrate of the original file, then Jellyfish transcodes it to a lower
bitrate (and this quality). You can increase the quality to above the
original bitrate to fix this.

What device are you trying to play it on?
