The irony of you linking to the post were you were downvoted to oblivion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 00:30 Who cares about downvotes? Youre the one lying to people here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheCyberTurkey · 2023-12-15 00:35 You know how easy it is to manipulate voting, especially as a dev? You seem suspicious. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 00:36 Man this post is tagged release for a reason. Your constant nonsense is amusing and I believe in free speech so I won't block you. But come on use your head, no matter what you say on here I'll continue to post about releases from whichever one of my accounts as I so please. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 00:38 > Man this post is tagged release for a reason. Your constant nonsense is amusing and I believe in free speech so I won't block you. Yes and i mentioned for previous behaviour for context. People can make up their own mind based on that. And free speech doesnt mean you can do and say whatever you want without any consequences. The last time your post got removed from here, lets see about this time. > I'll continue to post about releases from whichever one of my accounts as I so please. Good idea... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 00:41 Honestly you're mentally depraved. Whatever satisfaction you get out of trolling the release notification post of a wireguard based github project is beyond me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 00:42 > Honestly you're mentally depraved. Im not the one who starts insulting people when they bring up simple facts of your previous behaviour. > Whatever satisfaction you get out of trolling the release notification post of a wireguard based github project is beyond me. Its not trolling at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 00:52 I'm calling you an idiot for refusing to read. Your abhorrent intolerance for reading causes you to religiously make a fool of your self. For the following reasons. 1. I've been posting about Wiregate since v0.0.8 2. Everyone knows I go by two accounts by now. 3. You claim I lie in my post about my project. It's a copy and paste of the readme. However you don't read so I understand the confusion. 4. People be fit from my project and I would like them to know when new releases are available. Hence these post are for them, not you. 5. 146 stars, 3.3k pulls and 4 watchers says all that needs to be said about my projects legitimacy. 6. Who are you standing up for Mr Superman? Do you even use wiregate? Please get help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 00:55 Its impressive how much energy you invest and completely ignore the actual issue and instead point to random other things that nobody cares about and i never even mentioned. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 00:56 Because no-one on this planet can tell what your problem is. This is open source software did someone change for it? Lol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 00:58 I explained to you many times already what the problem is. Youre not listening. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 00:58 BTW do you even code? By the looks of your profile eurotruck sim is your strong suit ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 01:00 Yes because i need to be coding for my opinion and facts to have any values. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 01:01 And I've told you multiple times I own both accounts that's not a secret. They are my accounts like having two gamertags. Different tag same person. Now shoo and go make problems to solve somewhere else, unless you feel like testing wiregate and create issues request for me to fix in the projects. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 01:07 Your opinion is your opinion, stop parroting it as fact. Great so you proven that you didn't have the ability to properly evaluate a github project that consist of code, hence your opinion is straight from out of your ass. BTW, this post is gonna stay up like all the others. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Haliphone · 2023-12-15 01:23 You don't seem like a chill person. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 01:32 I apologize if my demeanor seems off-putting due to my use of language towards krautboy. From an outsider looking in, your project looks great. Ive looked at your previous posts and I don’t see what the fuss is? Some people are just jerks, and it is what it is. Thank you for sharing and I hope you continue to do so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 04:12 He's mad about me announcing the release from my accounts. I only have two and use whatever one is logegged in to do my announcements. Claims I'm using smurf accounts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Haliphone · 2023-12-15 09:27 I read the other post - I think krautboy does have a fair point. You were posting via 2 different accounts as a developer - which is incredibly confusing/duplicitous for simple humans like me. Doesn't have to been malice intended for it to feel 'weird'. Anyway nice project - I've added it to my 'will eventually play with one day' list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 654354365476435 · 2023-12-15 11:12 Can it be used with mobile apps? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 11:14 Not sure what you mean but yeah. I only have two and use whatever one is logegged in to do my announcements. Claims I'm using smurf accounts. No, im not mad. And you still dont understand the issue. So for the very last time i will try to make it very simple for you. Here is a example of how its usually done: * Developer comes to a subreddit * Developer sees a thread where their own software might be helpful to mention * Develeoper leaves a comment recommending their own software like "hey try this out (link) and just so you know, i am the developer of it" or even simpler "hey i made this (link) maybe try it out" * Done. Now everyone reading that comment is aware that the developer is promoting their own software and they can make their own judgement if that software is suitable or not. They can take that recommendation with a grain of salt, if they want to. What **you** have been doing is this: * You copy&paste comments like "hey try this out (link)". And thats it. No information that you are the developer of that software. The reader has no idea that you are recommending your own software to them, which is advertising/promoting. These are two very different approaches to how a developer promotes their software. I see plenty of developers around here and other subreddits who pop into discussions and mention their own software with a link, but they do so when it fits the discussion and they always mention "i am the developer" or "i am part of that team", that is simply good manners and its a rule. And you claim that "everyone knows that you are the developer and which accounts belong to you". That is absolute bullshit. A average reader of a sub has no idea that /u/StruggleElegant3855 is actually `Github.com/NOXCIS`. If your reddit account was named `Github_Wiregate` for example, and you then post links to that project, then the vast majority of readers would realize "ah that guy is promoting and not just recommending", and that would be fine. And you claim because you make release posts that means everyone knows youre the developer, thats also not true. We have a bunch of people here who make posts about new releases of software but they are not the developer, they just want to share those news with others which is great. Maybe this example is easier for you to understand: *If you listen to the news on the radio, and the speaker says "if you use X for Y that works great!" then you take that as part of the news program and as actual facts delivered by that person, you believe them. But if the radio program plays a jingle to make it clear adverts are now playing, and then someone says "if you use X for Y that works great!" thats a very different thing, you are now aware that its a ad and you can decide differently how much you trust that info or not.* Do you get it now? If not, youre either hopeless ignorant or just plain dumb. I hope youre just ignorant. And once again, the issue is not you making posts announcing new releases of your software. The issue is not wether your software is good or not. The issue is not wether your software is free or if anyone paid for it. You keep deflecting the issue to random things. #The issue is only one thing: You are acting like a normal user in comments, recommending your own software to people, and they are not aware you are actually advertising it to them. That is the issue. If i see a thread here of someone asking for help and i i recommend them a software to use, thats a independent recommendation and the other person can value that a certain way. But if i am the creator recommending my own software, that has a very different value. And people need to know about it when this happens. Reddit itself and most subreddits have rules for that, you should probably look them up. Selfpromotion, shills etc. **That** is the actual issue i have with you. Your childish attitude doesnt help but thats just how you are and im happy to ignore that about you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StruggleElegant3855 · 2023-12-15 19:10 1. Both my accounts out date the project, and I like the usernames. 2. If a user post a problem that my project can help them solve and I comment, “this might be what your looking for” with a link. That is called offer suggestions. Not telling them my project is great. 3. This I my everyday Reddit account, I come here to look at memes and post release notifications. It not that serious. 4. It's a good thing you'll never be a moderator. You cannot impose your predetermined rules on other people post that are already abiding by the reestablished rules. 5. Wiregate being a relatively new project has github stats to back it's validity, no need for me to tell people it's good, great or bad. I made wiregate to help people easily set up their own VPN, it's as simple as that. 6. Your issue with me is your problem. Get it, Your Promblem. Stop telling me about it, I don't care its annoying. Your never add anything productive to the release post except your irrelevant complaints. No one has stopped downloading it and my post haven't been removed like you would wish. Why, because they don't break the subreddit rules, and I don't care if my post aren't formatted to your liking. 7. Deal with it, I'll be expecting your negative energy under my next release post. See you then ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-15 19:20 > Both my accounts out date the project, and I like the usernames. Completely irrelevant to the isse. > If a user post a problem that my project can help them solve and I comment, “this might be what your looking for” with a link. That is called offer suggestions No, thats called advertising. > Not telling them my project is great. What? I can only hope thats a typo. > This I my everyday Reddit account, I come here to look at memes and post release notifications. It not that serious. Cool. Again, irrelevant to the issue. > It's a good thing you'll never be a moderator. You cannot impose your predetermined rules on other people post that are already abiding by the reestablished rules. I dont make up those rules, they simply exist. Like i already told you, you should look them up. > Wiregate being a relatively new project has github stats to back it's validity, no need for me to tell people it's good, great or bad. I made wiregate to help people easily set up their own VPN, it's as simple as that. You mean you dont need to advertise the project? Then why did you, and still are, spam the links to it everywhere? But again, completely irrelevant to the issue. You can advertise your project as much as you want, you can inform people about new releases, all great! But you need to make sure that people know that you are advertising your own project to them. > Your issue with me is your problem. Get it, Your Promblem. Stop telling me about it, I don't care its annoying. You clearly care, you keep replying and reacting like a child each time. And my issue with you is not you, plenty of people act childish and/or i disagree with them about things, i either just ignore them or even block them, done. I explained the issue very well, i will not do it again. It is pretty clear you dont want to understand it and you believe rules dont apply to you. > Your never add anything productive to the release post except your irrelevant complaints. Why is it my duty to add productive things to your release posts? And once again you show by that sentence you dont want to understand the actual issue. > No one has stopped downloading it Thats great. Again, irrelevant. > and my post haven't been removed like you would wish. Why, because they don't break the subreddit rules, and I don't care if my post aren't formatted to your liking. Yes, [your previous post in this sub has been removed](https://www.red dit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/18a33bv/wiregate_ipv6_support/). Who mentioned anything about formatting?
