I have an old acer laptop (aspire 5749 upgraded to 8gb of ram) that I
use mainly to have my plex library and sometimes as a seedbox for 1-2
torrents, and I'm running very low on storage, and I'd like to upgrade
to 2 tb (currently with a 1tb hdd), can you guys give some
recommendations please?

This sub is about **selfhosting software services**, not about
hardware upgrade advice. Try maybe /r/HomeServer /r/BuildaPC

I didn't know in which sub to post this and didn't remember that
r/homeserver existed, thanks
