Anyone had trouble with HostSlick? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Karoolus · 2023-12-14 08:27 The support from this company is just ridiculous. I purchased a VPS on 26th of november (Black Friday deal, €55/yr). It worked for a couple days but it went down on the 7th of december. Opened a ticket, to which they replied pretty quick and VPS was up again. Then 30min later it was down again and hasn't come back up in the last week. Opened another support ticket as they weren't replying on the old one anymore, they merged both tickets but nothing else happened. No communication of any kind. Opened a claim at Paypal yesterday, trying to cancel this shitshow and getting my money back. They never replied in any way, but they deleted the VPS linked to my account, along with the support tickets I opened. And still not a word from the seller... Please stay away from this provider, as they are clearly not fit to be running this business. I can understand a hardware failure that causes downtime, I repair servers in datacenters as a living, but a lot of this could have been solved by a simple message. "Hey we are waiting for HPE to deliver this or that part and are unable to start the server atm" which I would understand. But radio silence it NOT the way to treat paying customers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- anon108 · 2023-12-14 12:14 Open a thread on lowendtalk as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Karoolus · 2023-12-14 12:46 Will do Just got word from Paypal, the claim has been closed in my favor so I'm getting a full refund.
