Service Fusion alternative? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Smeeks1126 · 2023-12-13 02:47 I do IT work as a field service tech. We have anywhere from 5-10 techs employed at any given time. We currently use Service Fusion internally, but I'd much rather spin something up on my own equipment and delete my reliance on yet another paid service. We basically use it as a middleman program for our dispatch to sort the work orders and assign them to our techs. They can then load up an app on their phone, download and upload any documents/deliverables make notes, etc. Then we can check everything before they leave site to make sure everything is good. Also serves as our own backup of everything we have done. We get a lot of our work orders through field nation and workmarket, so some sort of integration with that, or the ability to write our own plugin for that would be a MAJOR plus. Any input would be much appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- adamshand · 2023-12-13 03:40 It might be fairly simple to build something with one of the low-code tools like BudiBase or REI3? If you do that you could integrate any service which provides an API. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Smeeks1126 · 2023-12-13 03:50 I'll start looking at those. I do know that Field Nation has a REST API that i believe allows most of what i need, almost forgot about that thing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- codeagency · 2023-12-13 12:10 Odoo ERP can do this. There is an enterprise version and community version. Both are open source but the enterprise one has license pricing and gives you more addons. Mobile app is included with enterprise, community version not but you can use browser/pwa Depending what you need exactly, the community edition might be sufficient. It has apps for sales, invoicing, crm, projects, tasks, etc...which you can use to assign tasks and follow up. I use enterprise edition myself and I'm also official implementation partner. There are also many 3rd party apps to extend Odoo. It's build with python and Javascript with a custom OWL framework (Odoo Web Language) It's very much derived from React.
