New to this. reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- blakealanm · 2023-12-12 23:25 I'm prepping myself for the day YouTube decides I have too many family members who don't live with me on my YouTube Premium Family plan buy downloading the music I love. I've found some artists in Patreon that allow me to download .mp3 files and I've got them loaded on my smartphone and my laptop. I found an mp3 player app I like. Will I have to rip music video from YouTube while I still have the Premium Family plan? I'm also planning on building my own home server to host all my favorite entertainment. Am I in the right subreddit to get help along the way? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- d4nm3d · 2023-12-12 23:28 You're in the right place to learn how to set up self hosted alternatives to streaming platforms such as Spotify, netflix etc.. As for how you populate them.. that's probably a conversation for elsewhere ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-13 00:00 > I'm also planning on building my own home server to host all my favorite entertainment.
