Alternatives to Replit reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MasterpieceFluffy123 · 2023-12-12 02:48 Hello! I'm not sure if this belongs here but this was the best subreddit I could find for it. I'm looking for 1 of 2 things: 1. A free alternative to Replit that offers 24/7 hosting, and supports both Python and Node.js. 2. A way to host things on my computer 24/7 without actually running my computer all the time (this doesn't exist right?). Any and all help is appreciated! For context, Replit is now charging money for deployments and stopping pingers from working anymore, so I need a solution. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-12 02:57 > A way to host things on my computer 24/7 without actually running my computer all the time (this doesn't exist right?). I have this magic bean i can sell you... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RedditSlayer2020 · 2023-12-12 11:49 I heard of something called serverless, I'm sure you can run it without having to run your computer all the time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MasterpieceFluffy123 · 2023-12-15 04:57 Thanks! I'll look into that. Apparently CloudFlare does that, they're trustworthy so maybe I'll find something. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RedditSlayer2020 · 2023-12-15 12:03 Cloudflare invented project honeypot and turned it into a large scale business , calling them trustworthy is like maximum delusion and ignorance
