selfhosted music library solution with support with syncplay reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bestfastolino · 2023-12-12 01:28 is there any selfhosted music server/library solution that supports syncplay/listen together with multiple users? I'm currently using navidrome, and that doesn't have this option for sure. The use case would be so that multiple people can skip/pause the song while listening to it in sync, over the network without downloading my library. We've done it so that I usually stream my music player (foobar2000) to them on discord, but it's getting unusable with discord bitrate etc. The only option I seem to have is using Jellyfin, but it's awful from my personal experience to use for large music libraries. No replay gain, search is bugged, sometime tags won't read... it's bad. TL;DR something where i can host my music library and everyone can listen to the same song with shared controls, on multiple platforms ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Good_Conclusion_5095 · 2023-12-12 05:19 Logitech Media Server (LMS) can synchronise play to multiple players. And there's a java based everyone can use to play streams. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- olejazz · 2023-12-12 07:46 Related to your navidrome comment - the jukebox mode was recently released. Check the issues queue and make sure you have the latest code. It may well help you on this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kawawete · 2023-12-12 09:44 \> java based no sir, java isn't based, not at all ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lilolalu · 2023-12-12 22:34 Well maybe that's very old-school but why don't you run a streaming server like it was done before the idea of sync play existed? https://icecast.org/
