Setting Up Spectrum Business Email On My Own Domain? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Majoraslayer · 2023-12-11 07:40 Has anyone with a Spectrum Business account successfully set up their email services on your own domain? Their help articles are trash for details on the correct settings to use. I have: \- Added MX records for mx1.biz.rr.com. and mx2.biz.rr.com. \- Created a TXT for Spectrum's domain verification (it's verified) \- Created a TXT with their SPF info The problem I'm having is that I'm able to receive email, but I can't send. If I set up [mail.twcbc.com](https://mail.twcbc.com) with port 587 as my SMTP server I can authenticate and connect, but emails I send never show up on the other end. If I run MX Toolbox the only errors I get are that DMARC records are missing, but I can't find any information anywhere on how to fix that (I'm new to setting up email on my domain). I don't know what DMARC is, but if this is another TXT record I need to add, what would be the contents for Spectrum Business? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcadianarcadian · 2023-12-11 10:39 to create dmarc records, [https://mxtoolbox.com/DMARCRecordGenerator.aspx](https://mxtoolbox.co m/DMARCRecordGenerator.aspx) [https://easydmarc.com/tools/dmarc-record- generator](https://easydmarc.com/tools/dmarc-record-generator) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Majoraslayer · 2023-12-11 17:05 That was a huge help, thanks! I'm still missing something though, because Gmail is rejecting all of my emails and Outlook sends them all to spam. From what I can tell it probably has something to do with DKIM, but I cant' figure out how to set that up for Spectrum Business. My domain itself is hosted by GoDaddy, email services run through Spectrum Business, and any information I find on DKIM is always specific to some other dedicated mail hosting service. Do you happen to know how I can fix it for Spectrum Business? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcadianarcadian · 2023-12-11 19:00 You can check it with the same tool. https://mxtoolbox.com/dkim.aspx
