Career achievement and milestone tracking reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ksuclipse · 2023-12-11 03:41 I’ve been looking around and haven’t seen anything that really fits but I’m looking for something that I can use to track projects, achievements, and other artifacts for my job. Every year during review time I tell myself I’m going to track it better but then never do. Anyone know of anything foss that might fit the bill? I looked at some kanban and pmo (red mine) tools but they aren’t really the best fit. Figured I’d throw it out there before I start writing something bespoke. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ElevenNotes · 2023-12-11 05:42 For the yearly performance review you can and probably should just write it down. I mean, its not going to be more than a few projects per year, if you need a tool to manage that, that's a bit sad to be honest. If you want to track issues throughout the year of multiple of your employees, you should have a performance tool in place from HR. Other than that any note taking app will do. Don't overthink everything, or better yet, overengineer every small detail. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rorykoehler · 2023-12-11 10:13 Text editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phndrummer · 2023-12-11 14:54 Maybe some kind of HR software. My company tracks this in Workday (not self hosted) but it’s a very simplistic project tracker (list of projects, with status: not started, in progress, completed, notes, etc.
