Caddyfile help on windows reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JnrAustin · 2023-12-10 22:32 Hello, I've setup my server for Jellyfin with a domain bought from cloudflare and got it working great with caddy. www.****.com { reverse_proxy 192.168.1.74:8096 } sonarr.****.com { reverse_proxy 192.168.1.74:8989 } nzbget.****.com { reverse_proxy 192.168.1.74:6789 } stream.****.com { reverse_proxy 192.168.1.74:8096 } I can login to all my different services, but now I want to host my own website. I was using the top reverse proxy to get to my stream, but want to use my domain for the wesite so I added the bottom stream.\*\*\*\*.com for jellyfin. All the guides or caddyfile examples I have found online are for linux and am not having any luck trying to use them as examples for windows. I have a mysql server and php on my windows machine, just need to figure out the caddyfile. Thanks in advance for any assistance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- loopyroberts · 2023-12-10 23:31 Are you hosting the website on the Windows machine? Is the website accessible by IP? It shouldn't be any different if it's up and running. Just point caddy to the IP and port. I would be careful if it's externally accessible though as who knows what vulnerabilities you might be exposing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-12-11 00:24 > reverse_proxy 192.168.1.*:8096 What is the * supposed to mean? Are you censoring your home IP or are you literally trying to use * as a wildcard or something? And Caddyfile is the same regardless if its Windows or Linux. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JnrAustin · 2023-12-11 05:46 I was censoring my home ip, just so used to hiding ip when posting and forgot my home ip is useless to hide. I've added an edit with more info. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JnrAustin · 2023-12-11 05:51 Yes, it's on a windows machine, but am running into an issue installing it, wordpress install fails saying php is not running, but I have service started with the correct port. I'll be running a reverse proxy and this machine has nothing vulnerable on it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pigers1986 · 2023-12-11 09:38 that is local IP - no point masking it (aka LAN) : [https://en.wikiped ia.org/wiki/Private\_network](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/private_ne twork) you should mask Internet one (aka WAN) [https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Private\_and\_Public\_IP\_Ad dresses](https://wiki.teltonika- networks.com/view/private_and_public_ip_addresses)
