Resolve host names of LAN hosts to k3s

I am running a k3s cluster in my LAN and a DNS server (Pi-Hole)
located in the LAN, outside the k3s cluster. When I want to connect
from a pod in the cluster to a host in the LAN outside the cluster,
the connection cannot be established (no route to host). Coredns is
running in the cluster.

Where do I have to set what and how so that I can resolve LAN-hosts in
the cluster via my PiHole DNS server and I can connect to hosts in the
LAN?

Set upstream server of core-dns to pihole, meaning "forward . 1.2.3.4"
(if pihole has 1.2.3.4) in the file Corefile in namespace kube-system.

"no route to host" would indicate a basic routing problem, not a error
resolving DNS. But i dont use k3s myself.
