Self hosted option to check when movie releases are available?

My current Discord server for Plex is hooked up to Overseerr. If users
request a movie and it isn't out on blu ray or digital release, is
there a self hosted option to notify via discord or some other method
when it's available? I know radarr and sonarr are an option but I
think the webhooks are only for when the media is sent to the
downloader but I don't use torrent or usenet.

Sonarr and Radarr do have a calendar that shows releases, but I don't
think there are webhooks for those. You can send webhooks when they're
downloaded, which is probably more important IMO.

Doesn't Overseerr just do this? I use Jellyseerr so it might be
different but it will just wait for the release.

Overseerr does indeed do it too.

I didn't see this functionality during my usage. My friend requested
**Leave the World Behind** and I didn't see that it was released until
I found it; Overseerr didn't notify me. Does it notify you by default?
I don't have it hooked up to Radarr/Sonarr, if that's what you're
referring to.
