Need a VM for Java 11 and a specific Program - which distro to choose?

hey

i want to run a specific java based program, but i don't want to
install java on my windows machine - that's why i want to setup a
linux vm with a java RE by adoptium (recommended by program devs), the
program i want to use and a rdp server to rdp into (guess xrdp is a
good choice?)

i'd try to achieve that with my "goto" homelab OS dietpi - but am open
to recommendations, if anyone of you has experience with java/adoptium
and specific distros that they could recommend

Whichever distro is officially supported and you are comfortable with
using.
