Help with Deluge and Gluetun in Docker

xposting from /r/torrents, hopefully that's ok. I'm trying to get
torrenting set up in Docker. I have Gluetun connected to ProtonVPN,
and then a Deluge container behind Gluetun. Any torrents I add hang
forever at 0%, with the status stuck at either "Announce Sent" or
"Error: Host not found (authoritative)". Based on other forums, this
seems to most often be a VPN or DNS issue, but I'm fairly confident
it's not that - when I open a shell inside the Deluge container, I can
ping or curl sites, so Deluge does seem to be able to talk to the web
properly, so I'm not sure where the issue is. The Deluge log doesn't
seem to have much relevant info -
[here's](https://pastebin.com/MnqvpW3c) me starting it up and adding a
torrent, and it then proceeded to sit forever after adding it with no
further info. The GUI showed [this](https://imgur.com/a/L6vs47T)
forever - there are supposedly peers connected! but no progress
happening

Hopefully someone who knows this stuff better has some insight.
