Storing docker volumes on NFS reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zgub4 ยท 2023-12-08 22:29 Hi all, so I've been trying now for a few days to set up my homelab server. I have a single VM (debian) running a Portainer. Then I have a second VM running TrueNAS with two drives mounted. I want to store all persistent volumes on an NFS drive shared from TrueNAS however more often than not, I am getting this error when trying to deploy a container: ``` failed to chmod on /var/lib/volumes/[...] operation not permitted ``` I've tried running volumes on CIFS but this was even worse as I've read there is an issue with SMB not being able to change permissions and owner of the files. I can run containers for: - Homepage - Baikal - Immich but getting same error when trying to run: - Seafile - Mealie I would greatly appreciate any advice or tips as I ran out of ideas at this stage.
