CG NAT Pains reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- InsoPL · 2023-12-08 01:28 Hi, self hoster behind CG NAT here. I decided on VPS (ARM64 € 4.51 a month) to get my traffic out there additionally i want use vps to self host few websites . On vps I successfully configured docker with traefik, wordpress+ssl and OpenVPN Server. On my homeserver i have proxmox installed. What's next? I want to have access to my home network with openvpn + host home assistant from home network on the internet. What i plan is to have home server SSH Tunnel to VPS OpenVpn and HA ports then use traefik to wrap HA in SSL. Is this plan viable? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- adamshand · 2023-12-08 04:12 You need to setup some sort of tunnel between your vps and homelab. Wireguard is probably the best way (but OpenVPN, ssh, boring proxy etc can all work). One you can reach the port of a homelab service on your vos you can use Traefik to proxy internet traffic to your homelab. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- survivallama · 2023-12-08 04:31 I use cloudflare tunnels for stuff I want exposed to the internet. If not I use tailscale. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcadianarcadian · 2023-12-08 09:44 I prefer Wireguard, your VPS will be the server and your proxmox will be the client. Then on your Traefik, you can configure proxmox VMs/containers as backend to reverse proxy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- whiteh4cker · 2023-12-08 15:48 I used this software with Oracle free tier, it works great: https://github.com/mochman/Bypass_CGNAT There is also this: https://github.com/rapiz1/rathole
