Free alternative to Delinea SecretServer ? (Privileged Access Manager) reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arkxv · 2023-12-07 13:15 Hey guys, everything is in the title. I recently worked with SecretServer during a lab in class and didn't know anything about Privileged Access Manager. I would like to self host this kind of solution in my homelab since it seems really useful for remote access and I often have to connect to multiple of my servers from outside my home. Though, I think SecretServer free version is a bit heavy on my computer and also kind of limited. Do you guys recommend any free / opensource alternative for this software ? I already looked into awesome-selfhosted and awesome-sysadmin but didn't find what I was looking for. thx ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Legitimate_Farm_3095 · 2023-12-07 13:47 https://www.google.com/search?q=delinea+secret+server+alternative ---------------------------------------------------------------------- StefanMcL-Pulseway2 · 2023-12-07 14:14 Take a look at Jump server, It's Open-Source has features such as authentication, authorization, accounting, auditing, distributed deployment and more ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MyTechAccount90210 · 2023-12-07 15:43 Cyberark. Prepare to bend over when you see the costs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cfarence · 2023-12-07 22:56 It’s a shame they don’t offer the express edition anymore. Back in 2014 they used to offer a $10 license for I think it was around 10 users or 1k secrets that you could use for labs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- luiz127 · 2023-12-07 23:02 but it's also chinese not a slight, and it's probably fine for self hosting, but there are a lot of orgs that will rule it out on that 'risk factor' alone.
