Question for a VPS/VDS reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nostalgicindvad3r · 2023-12-06 22:02 Does anyone have thoughts on SMTP VPS servers that connect to Instantly instead of Mailwizz? I want to set up a VPS or Dedicated Server for multiple domains. Each Domain will only send 250 emails a day on instantly campaigns - we connect 5 email addresses per domain and only send 250 a day as mentioned (ideally 50 of those emails will go into warmups). I've chatted with a few people and they mentioned it's doable but some say I need 1 VPS PER domain?! is that even needed? I read a ton too and I didn't hear that anywhere. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- anotherucfstudent · 2023-12-07 00:38 Why not use sendgrid or one of the other near-free options? It would be cheaper and your chances of the messages hitting inbox skyrockets ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nostalgicindvad3r · 2023-12-07 02:52 Because I own a digital marketing agency and I would love to have it on our own server ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nostalgicindvad3r · 2023-12-07 02:55 also I love using instantly ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Utsav-2 · 2023-12-07 06:31 If it’s for a business that’s all the more reason to use a hosted option like SendGrid or something ---------------------------------------------------------------------- futuremd2k19 · 2023-12-22 10:54 “I want to sell apples. Do I need a basket or a cart or a truck?” See. That’s the mistake you’re making here. Metrics matter because it varies depending on your usage. We need more details like how many domains do you plan to use? What are the specs of the dedicated VPS/VDS? More details will help you get more accurate estimates. Oh and fair warning, email warmup is going to change completely early next year with gmail. In short, the old method of services using tags embed in the email for bots to read/write is not really going to work anymore. If you want to read more about the upcoming changes, just google it. I think instantly has the old method of warmups. So, you might have to look for a new tool. It took me a while to find one which doesn’t use the old method of warmups.
