Issues with setting up Docker in Debian 12, no internet on host reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zestyclose_Car1088 · 2023-12-05 00:06 Standard Debian 12 bookworm build and standard docker install, but I've no internet on the host when I start the docker service. Followed this [https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/debian/](https:/ /docs.docker.com/engine/install/debian/) Anyone ever seen anything like this? any help is very much appreciated... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lolinux · 2023-12-05 05:05 When your internet is running ok, issue an `ip route`. Then start the docker service and check the routes ok. Have you defined a network that overlaps the host's network? Also check the output of `docker network ls` and docker network inspect for each of the docker networks, see what networks you have and their gateways. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcadianarcadian · 2023-12-05 12:41 Check iptables rules probably docker has no permission/ability to create/remove iptables rules. You can test the run docker daemon without IPtables. docker -d --iptables=False & or put those into /etc/docker/daemon.json and restart docker daemon. { "iptables" : false } \* Please mind that you have to create your own iptables rules to accept/forward/deny connections to your containers.
