Selfhosted - Text 2 Speech reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ninomatsu92 · 2023-12-04 19:26 I am currently working on software (Webinterface) to store long texts and read them later via a web interface. I would like to add a feature to have the texts read aloud. Now that AI has advanced in the text-to- speech segment, I wonder if there is an open-source text-to-speech software that can handle longer texts. An API would also be great, otherwise, I would have to write a wrapper. Which software have you tried and can recommend? What about the hardware requirements? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- elbalaa · 2023-12-04 19:30 Check out https://rhasspy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/text-to-speech/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- blake4096 · 2023-12-04 19:41 I use the XTTS model of https://github.com/coqui-ai/TTS/ it works quite well. It's not as good as https://styletts2.github.io/ but it's straightforward to get up and running and you can try out various models on huggingface. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- drizzleV · 2023-12-04 20:39 [https://github.com/coqui-ai/TTS](https://github.com/coqui-ai/TTS) [https://github.com/mozilla/TTS](https://github.com/mozilla/TTS) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-12-05 03:57 [removed]
