How can I get a container to use a vlan trunk interface reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Original-Ad5431 · 2023-12-04 19:35 Correct me if i'm wrong... VTP or vlan trunk protocol is a protocol where switches communicate on for share vlan info. So an endhost cant communicate with VTP. If you want to put youre container in a vlan you need to specify the ipaddress on the switch interface. But then is youre whole system in that vlan. If you can make subinterfaces you can specify the vlan per subinterface/ipaddress. But you need an layer 3 switch. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bmullan · 2023-12-04 20:10 LXD containers have supported vlan & OVN (Open Virtual Networkd) for a few years now ***https://devzero.co.za/2019/07/08/attaching-lxd-lxc-containers-to- vlan-networks/***
