Trouble with Paperless-NGX - "MissingDependencyError: gs"

I hope someone can help me with an issue I'm facing with Paperless-
NGX. I'm getting the following error:

 MissingDependencyError: gs

 I've already installed Ghostscript on my system (Version
9.53.3\~dfsg-7+deb11u6), but the problem persists. I've taken the
usual steps to install Ghostscript, checked the configuration of
Paperless-NGX, and tried suggestions from forums, but nothing has
helped.

 Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Ask on the paperless-ngx Github for support.

Fyi if you would run it wiith the official Docker container image you
typically dont have to deal with things like this at all (installing
dependencies, making sure versions are compatible to each other, etc).
