What alternative to Dashkiosk ? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabed_ · 2023-12-03 07:15 Hello, The product has been officially unmaintained since June 2023. Do you know of a product to migrate to? The product is fantastic because we can broadcast and control what our chromecast, browser with addon, android application broadcasts from a central point. Some resources to understand the project: https://github.com/vincentbernat/dashkiosk https://vincent.bernat.ch/fr/blog/2014-dashkiosk https://dashkiosk.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- stappersg · 2023-12-03 09:14 > What are your thoughts? Fork it, step forward as the new maintainer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ovizii · 2023-12-03 15:52 Looks interesting. A quick search yielded this: [https://github.com/Screenly/Anthias](https://github.com/Screenly/Anth ias) https://github.com/colloqi/piSignage ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabed_ · 2023-12-03 15:55 what is your key word ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabed_ · 2023-12-03 15:59 only for pi ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marmata75 · 2023-12-03 16:14 It would probably be “self hosted digital signage” ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Screenly_ · 2023-12-04 07:47 Thanks for sharing the[Anthias](https://anthias.screenly.io/)( Formerly known as Screenly OSE), Anthias is a Free and open-source platform for Digital Signage and works on all Raspberry Pi versions, including Raspberry Pi Zero, Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, and Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. Please check and let us know if you need any help on this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ovizii · 2023-12-04 18:44 Correct but I might have added "raspberry pi" to the search. If it works on the RPI I guess you can host it anywhere else too. The question is what are you intending to use as a receiver? Also keep in mind that if its running on a RPI your receivers won't need internet access, so the whole solution becomes more portable. Depends on your exact needs.
