Photo organizer? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tresillo_Crack · 2023-12-02 11:07 I have a disk full of photos and I want to index and arrange like nextcloud or photo prism but just for view only. Is there any app for this that I can selfhost in my rpi4 or laptop? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ro55mo · 2023-12-02 11:21 https://github.com/immich-app/immich ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dotinho · 2023-12-02 11:23 Just view only, the fast way is [photoview](https://photoview.github.io/) it does exactly has in directory. Just docker compose and bind your photo directory to photos on docker. If you have videos, you can disable video enconding for the first run. If it want organize by year-month-day or album, I recommend immich. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Legitimate_Farm_3095 · 2023-12-02 11:30 this comes up weekly if not daily. use the search ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lost-Ad-197 · 2023-12-02 13:52 Been using Immich for a week now and am enjoying it. Loving the idea we can have multiple users with their own image folders. It has facial recognition, you can tag and it will group photos. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kuzared · 2023-12-02 15:23 Photoprism is what I plan on using when I get around to it, a friend uses it and it looks great. I like that you can give it read access to your existing library, so it functiins as a viewer only, unlike Immich where you have to add the photos to the system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tresillo_Crack · 2023-12-02 15:52 I tried it but ram usage increased on my rpi which only has 8gb ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ChokunPlayZ · 2023-12-02 17:00 if you don't need it, turn off image classification. this process uses machine learning which will never run properly on an RPI without a dedicated TPU. I run Photo Prism to serve pictures I shoot for a school event, a lot of people were on it to download their pictures, the memory usage never went above 200MB ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tresillo_Crack · 2023-12-02 17:01 I'll try it, but image classification is what detects objects on the picture? Nothing to do with image organization? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- parer55 · 2023-12-02 19:54 For me it's this : https://github.com/gbbirkisson/spis ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kuzared · 2023-12-02 21:07 AFAIK yes, face recognition, mainly. Haven't tried it myself, just haven't had the time...
