How to self-host online a tool for 1 euro or less? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mnemonickus · 2023-12-02 04:14 Hello, Is there a server/vps provider that allows you to create instances at a very low cost, say around 1 euro per month. I have some vps at linode for sites in production or tools, I try to use as much as possible services that I can self hosted. But for example, I'd like to install a service like [cal.com](https://cal.com): [https://github.com/calcom/cal.com](https://github.com/calcom/cal.com) In the short-term, I should be using it maybe 10 times a month, and for even fewer appointments. I don't really need to pay the equivalent of 5, 10, 15 euros a month for this service alone. Especially since the list of things to install would quickly cost me hundreds of euros a month, or even more, which is more than a thousand euros a year for really not that much use of space disk or bandwidth. My question would be: is there an online service that lets you deploy as many self-hosted tools as you want, but where I'd only pay for the real load per month (with perhaps an additional fixed cost for using the service)? Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SirMasterLordinc · 2023-12-02 04:19 Go to low end stock ---------------------------------------------------------------------- subven1 · 2023-12-02 04:35 The cheapest thing I know is [Netcups new VSP pico](https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/warenkorb_add.php?produkt=3422) with 1€/month. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dazchad · 2023-12-02 04:50 You can install several services on the same node. If you are using docker, you can even stop services you are not actually using. There’s no reason to have 1 VPS per service. A $5 Linode or digital ocean you get you pretty far I’d you don’t mind a bit of lag every now and then.
