Tandoor all in one docker compose config (without env file) reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HoneyNutz · 2023-11-28 19:02 Dumb question -- can i pull the environmental file into my docker compose yaml so i can run it in a stack vs having to pull the env file first? (following directions here: [https://docs.tandoor.dev/install/docker/#docker- compose](https://docs.tandoor.dev/install/docker/#docker-compose)) feels like i should be able to pull the password and other info into a line on the compose file.... Is there a reason this is separated? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SagaciousZed · 2023-11-28 19:55 Anything that is an environment variable in an .env file could be moved into an attribute of the compose file [https://docs.docker.com/compose/environment-variables/set- environment-variables/#use-the-environment- attribute](https://docs.docker.com/compose/environment-variables/set- environment-variables/#use-the-environment-attribute) If you keep your docker compose files in source control it is a bad idea to commit unencrypted secret values into source control. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HoneyNutz · 2023-11-29 03:53 Ok so this was my suspicion. I am using a stack manager to manage my compose files but it doesnt seem to have a clean way of managing environment files. I guess i need to go to the dockge dev and ask for a solution Thanks!!
