Is there a self-hosted recipe book with nutrition tracking? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Theweasels · 2023-11-27 20:18 Looking for a rather specific overlap of features. I know there are quite a few recipe applications, but I haven't found any that also support calorie/nutrient tracking, especially for multiple users. I'm hoping to be able to create and store recipes. Then when I cook a recipe, I can scale the portion size to determine the calories/protein intake. Then my fiancee can add the same recipe to her daily food intake, with a different portion size. Of course, not all of my food is homemade recipes, so if there is some way to integrate with the open food facts database or a conventional food tracker like myfitnesspal, that would be amazing. Currently I have Mealie, but I rarely use it because when I create/modify a recipe, I need to update it in myfitnesspal too. I'm not a big fan of myfitnesspal, but my fiancee uses it and I stuck with it so we can copy each other's meals to make calorie tracking easier when we eat the same thing (although they really don't make it convenient to do in that app). Attempting to manage my recipes in multiple locations is quite the inconvenience, so I'm looking for any solution that combines recipe management with calorie tracking. Please let me know if there is anything like that out there. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MRobi83 · 2023-11-28 01:37 I've been looking for something like this for a while and haven't been able to find anything. It would be a natural addition to a program like Meali or Tandoor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Untreated3763 · 2023-11-28 16:42 Personally, I'm a big fan of Cronometer over MFP for many reasons, but it's not self-hosted and there's no API so it doesn't solve that problem for you. I've been exploring the same question a lot lately and I'm leaning towards [kcal](https://github.com/kcal-app/kcal), but I haven't tried it yet so can't give a real recommendation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HOEKIE16 · 2023-11-28 18:54 try kitchenowl you can make lists, track and make recipes
