Has anyone managed to install changedetection.io with the visual selector? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Significant-Neat7754 · 2023-11-27 19:01 [Changedetection.io](https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io) is a service which detects changes in websites and can alert you as need be. Very useful, as you can imagine. The real deal seems to be the playwright content fetcher which adds a visual selector. Try as I may, I can't get the install to complete. There's a LSIO version as well but it sadly doesn't include the playwright fetcher. Has anyone got the Docker version to work with the visual selector? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PovilasID · 2023-11-27 21:18 I did but it was a mess... and more importantly I think it eliminated a part I used that simulated a browser well enough to not trigger ant scraping measures on stores I care about, so I cut it out. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hdddanbrown · 2023-11-28 02:21 You could simply ask on the changedetection gitbub for help ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LastSummerGT · 2023-12-03 15:16 I have the visual selector working on Docker, do you want a copy of my compose file? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Significant-Neat7754 · 2023-12-03 15:22 Thank you. I have got it working now 🙂 Just had to follow the directions on the wiki. By the way, did you get Amazon price tracking to work? I always get the captcha whenever I try and automate price tracking on Amazon. I know Amazon hates robots. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LastSummerGT · 2023-12-03 15:37 I never tried it with Amazon, I just use camelcamelcamel and I’ve gotten good deals from there usually. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kiwijunglist · 2023-12-11 08:04 I think you figured it out, but you didn't post solution. Use the original docker-compose.yml - [https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io/blob/master/docker-com pose.yml\\](https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io/blob/master /docker-compose.yml\) Then uncomment some of the lines as per this instruction - [https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io/wiki/Playwright- content-fetcher](https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io/wiki/P laywright-content-fetcher) Now you have two containers that will talk to each other. I did it in unraid by creating a docker stack in the docker-compose plugin for unraid. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Significant-Neat7754 · 2023-12-11 08:10 You're right. Sorry about that. I usually don't do this. Bad me. The wiki is pretty easy to follow. The instructions [here](https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io/wiki/Playwright- content-fetcher) are the ones I followed. Simply uncommented the lines mentioned.
