Found an OSS timeblocking tool but need help hosting it reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- siddharthal · 2023-11-27 09:01 Found this tool somewhere on reddit https://github.com/GeneralTask/task-manager/tree/master This seems like a difficult tool to selfhost. I have hosted few apps earlier but those were direct docker containers. I see 3 major challenges with this setup: 1. Backend : It creates 2 containers but those are generic DB servers. Would the dockerfile install the actual code ? 2. Frontend : How to connect with backend 3. Fontawesome pro subscription is a requirement Any help would be appreciated ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DeadEyePsycho · 2023-11-27 13:03 Considering it's marked as beta and development stopped in July when it had consistent commits prior, seems like it might be a dead project. Backend seems straightforward enough with Dockerfile being the actual backend service but I'm not familiar enough with frontend stuff to decipher how to configure the frontend piece. Seems like you just have to build it and host with any webserver but it's the configuration part that eludes me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zephyr3319 · 2023-11-27 16:04 In `frontend/src/environment.ts` there's a constant responsible for the API url
