Struggling to install firefly3 on Raspberry Pi 4 reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tezfun · 2023-11-26 04:11 Hi All, I'm hoping people who've installed firefly3 with docker can help me with this - my three docker containers (firefly_iii_core, firefly_iii_db and firefly_iii_cron) keep exiting with an error code 159. Before this, I had to manually specify platform linux/arm64 for each service in my docker-compose.yml before docker compose, without which I kept getting an error "The requested image's platform does not match the detected host platform" Thank you in advance! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rekazm · 2023-11-26 09:09 Do the images you're trying to use support arm64? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tezfun · 2023-11-27 20:22 Apparently they do https://hub.docker.com/r/fireflyiii/core/tags ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rekazm · 2023-11-27 20:59 Can you run the following command and give me the output uname -a ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tezfun · 2023-11-28 01:39 > uname -a Linux raspberrypi 6.1.21-v8+ #1642 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 3 17:24:16 BST 2023 aarch64 GNU/Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tezfun · 2023-11-28 01:41 aarch64 GNU/Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tezfun · 2023-11-28 06:01 Using platform linux/arm/v8 worked. Then I discovered tonight that there was an issue was with database connectivity. I could not get it to work with mariadb that was specified in the docker-compose.yml from the firefly GitHub repo. It finally worked when I was able to use a postgres DB that was already running in another container. Frustrating as it has been to set up firefly, I'm glad I learned something from this! (Trying to install Actual Budget using docker was a breeze, following their documentation) The firefly cron service is still failing.
