Any projects coming down the tracks that you are looking forward to? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zestyclose_Car1088 · 2023-11-24 13:09 What are you keeping an eye on? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- chilipepper21 · 2023-11-24 14:17 Navidrome and Jellyfin. They have the solution I've been looking for since 2016. Now I can digitize a bunch of cds and dvds I have. I only recently got back into coding, so it's great to see how far the open source community has gone with these types of projects.s ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sebasdt · 2023-11-24 14:44 Well pingvin-share. its a wetransfer like but selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Melodic_Opening3566 · 2023-11-24 14:56 Wiki.js 3.0, looking nice and coming along great. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ArgoPanoptes · 2023-11-24 15:43 https://github.com/louislam/dockge It seems promising and created by the creator of Uptime-Kuma. It already works but has some bugs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- adamshand · 2023-11-24 19:03 - https://github.com/louislam/dockge - https://librumreader.com/ - https://github.com/iansinnott/prompta - https://github.com/JellyBookOrg/JellyBook ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdnhnguyen · 2023-11-24 19:54 Immich, its been improving very quick and you can have fairly good support in r/Immich or their discord ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Significant-Neat7754 · 2023-11-24 20:08 This looks really good. I thought Yatch was the only option for easy to use docker managers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AnomalyNexus · 2023-11-24 22:07 Expecting a minor revolution on the intersection of /r/selfhosted /r/LocalLLaMA and /r/homeassistant The self-hosted AI tech is slowly but surely getting to a stage where it could pull all of this together. What required siri/alexa last year will soon be on /r/selfhosted turf ---------------------------------------------------------------------- New_d_pics · 2023-11-24 23:56 Looking forward to the File Manager, specifically moving page management out of administration into the editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JayL1F3 · 2023-11-25 01:25 Seems pretty solid so far. Some slight bugs inside of the terminal/bash and stuff. Personally, I've yet to find it easier to go through a container manager versus just running cli stuff. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Toe7685 · 2023-11-25 02:16 im just sitting here with popcorn waiting to pounce ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bytepond · 2023-11-25 05:22 Seconding. It's so promising, and it's changing and improving so fast. And it's so polished looking and easy client side, so getting family members on it should be easy! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- helphp · 2023-11-25 06:00 I’ve used Jellyfin for music too, works fine for the most part. What do you like about navidrome ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PizzaPino · 2023-11-25 07:20 I just wished we could hack our Alexa devices so I could use them instead of buying new hardware. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- suddenlypenguins · 2023-11-25 10:09 Homebox by the creator of Mealie. Helps you organise your house with inventory management. It's out and quite useable but still in its infancy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wubidabi · 2023-11-25 10:14 I didn’t check out Yatch yet, but Portainer is a popular docker manager that personally I find pretty easy to use. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- omeguito · 2023-11-25 10:22 [https://github.com/anyproto/anytype- ts](https://github.com/anyproto/anytype-ts) For me is a multi-device replacement for Obsidian (which I use a lot), but I'm waiting for better self-hosting support. As of now you have to recompile the mobile clients to point to your own server, which sucks... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tripanafenix · 2023-11-25 11:27 I use obsidian git with a private repo on a self hosted gitea. When I open obsidian on another device, it just pulls and fetches the changes. it is working awesomely smooth. wanna give it a try while using obsidian already? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Cynyr36 · 2023-11-25 12:43 For future redditors, since i had no clue what this was. Dockge A fancy, easy-to-use and reactive self-hosted docker compose.yaml stack-oriented manager. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Trustworthy_Fartzzz · 2023-11-25 12:51 The problem is these devices don’t have the hardware to process input locally — it’s all sent back to their respective clouds for processing. I believe Siri on newer phones can do some processing entirely local, but it’s not the norm. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- johnrobbespiere · 2023-11-25 13:27 I have everything on this but considering moving to obsidian for the in line latex support ---------------------------------------------------------------------- npab19 · 2023-11-25 13:37 I'm ok with that. Home assistant Assist is exactly the same way and only sends data when it's activated by voice or a button. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- chilipepper21 · 2023-11-25 14:01 Navidrome just works to safely house all my music from my 2005 iPod and allows me to access it on any device. I used google music for a while but they altered my music files and then eventually shut down. I’ve had physical players (the China clones) in recent years and after a year or so they crap out, terrible interface and just low quality software, the player gets lost. After losing my second player and erasing 2015-2020 years of music collecting I just gave up on the players. Navidrome seems promising. Hope it keeps getting better. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- helphp · 2023-11-25 14:06 Nice, might check it out. Guess I was wondering if there were benefits over using Jellyfin (which you already mentioned using as well) since it can play music as well as videos. I just tossed my library in Jellyfin and use that on my phone (native Jellyfin app for ios, there’s also Finamp and Fintunes that can connect to it) or just any web browser anywhere. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- chilipepper21 · 2023-11-25 15:53 My first install was Navidrome and then it was Jellyfin. So that might explain my set up. I don’t have the time to go back to the projects I’ve just been working with both of them as is. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- helphp · 2023-11-25 15:56 I would do the exact same haha ---------------------------------------------------------------------- chilipepper21 · 2023-11-25 16:35 If it ain’t broken… ---------------------------------------------------------------------- omeguito · 2023-11-27 01:06 I didn't know about it. I already have a self-hosted git so I definitely will try! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tripanafenix · 2023-11-27 06:12 Protip: gitignore workspace.json, this file is a hassle to versionate!
