Router recommendation reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- gunzaj · 2023-11-23 16:38 I am thinking about upgrading my router. I am not a super advanced user. Got a Synology NAS with a few docker containers running. I had my eyes on the [GL-iNet Flint](https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl- ax1800/) (or the newer Flint 2). Additionally I was wondering if it would make more sense to maybe get the [Synology RT6600ax](https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-ax1800/). But the Flint is significantly cheaper. Any thoughts on those two models or any other recommendations that are easy to setup and don't break the bank? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- user01401 · 2023-11-23 16:44 OpenWrt on the hardware that matches your needs and budget. The forum has great threads on this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Conscious-Fault-8800 · 2023-11-23 17:16 /r/homenetworking /r/homelab This subreddit is about discussing selfhosting software. That said, I'm a fan of the glinet stuff having used the mango and opal. But for any serious hosting you'll need more than the ports provided on those travel routers.
