My first steps into self hosting and my homelab dashboard reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shaunjanssens · 2023-11-22 22:32 After lurking for years on this subreddit I finally bought a mini PC for the soul purpose of experimenting with self hosting. So the past few days I've been learning about Docker and stealing all your docker- compose files and combined them into something I could actually use. The code is [available on Github](https://github.com/shaunjanssens/homelab). [Homer dashboard with custom theme](https://preview.redd.it/lkjir5pm6z 1c1.png?width=3600&format=png&auto=webp&s=de3c23f4dd1916fe2a62f7cb0f33 a155fe5be579) Please give me some feedback because I'm 200% sure I did a lot the wrong way. What I've however learned from you guys is to document what you're doing when you're doing it instead of later (never). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- linuxmel · 2023-11-23 03:52 Looks like a cosmos clone ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Morelaurane · 2023-11-23 07:25 wow, your homelab dashboard looks amazing! It's awesome to see someone taking the plunge into self hosting and experimenting with Docker. I'll definitely check out your code on Github and see if I can provide any feedback. Keep up the great work and keep documenting your progress – it's super helpful for others in the community! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shaunjanssens · 2023-11-23 08:14 Thank you for all the kind words! It would be much appreciated to get some feedback! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- adiyasl · 2023-11-23 11:45 Looks awesome! You’ll fall deeper and deeper into this rabbit hole in no time haha. Also, sole = only soul = the spirit / essence of a person or something. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shaunjanssens · 2023-11-23 12:28 It's crazy! I'm really looking forward to tinker with it every time I'm done working! Thanks for the correction! English is not my mother tongue.
