Suggestions for a Specific Use Case reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Eco-Posadist · 2023-11-22 20:37 As I think many of us are, I am at my relatives a lot for the holidays. Many of my relatives have smart-TVs that are capable of installing and running Jellyfin clients. My inclination is to use these devices to connect to my Jellyfin server. Problem: my Jellyfin server is behind an Authelia login page. So, when the Jellyfin client attempts to connect, it gets blocked. What I think I need is a one-time, temporary whitelist for the IP of my relatives' network. However, I'm open to other suggestions. Has anyone out there encountered this situation, and if so what was your solution for it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- airbornebubbles · 2023-11-23 06:36 I usually bring my own streaming device so I don't have to install things on someone else's tv (too many variations, I don't want to break it, etc). I can also install VPN on my own device to access my local network. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yoganerdYVR · 2023-11-23 11:11 Try npm (nginx proxy manager) instead of authelia for jellyfin?
