Best Selfhosted ERD/Data Modeling Tool - Docker | Snowflake reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Pray4Tre · 2023-11-21 19:08 I am trying to find a selfhosted solution for my small company for making Entity Relationship Diagrams. We currently have an insanely expensive SQLDBM license for $4000/yr for 2 devs and we literally just use it to bring in our Snowflake tables/databases to design ERD's. We can't even export them in a editable version to employee's/clients and end up just sending a screen grab of the ERD. I haven't been able to find much for any selfhosted alternatives. One is Cloudbeaver which is $1000/yr for 5 devs but I can't seem to determine if you can design ERD's in it or not. We don't need much in a tool, these are the main priorities: Docker Install Ability to link to our Snowflake account (and our clients if possible) Ability to design ERD Ability to view ERD's generated from database If anyone has suggestions for tools, I'd appreciate it immensely! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Brutus5000 · 2023-11-21 23:32 No clue about designing, but you can generate an ERD from existing db using https://schemaspy.org/ and put the generated static pages anywhere (I use e.g. GitHub actions). It's not a live feedback workflow but combined with a git repo + flyway migrations you have some way of collaboration
