Docker Desktop for Windows and Compose.yml file reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hobbygirl · 2023-11-19 17:04 I researched but was unable to find an answer to my specific question. I have installed docker desktop on my old windows 10 machine. I also successfully installed Portainer. I wish to install audiobookshelf on it but I get errors when I try to deploy a stack using portainer. I am totally confused on how to point docker to the drive my audiobooks are on. Here is what I tried. Can anyone help? version: "3.7" services: audiobookshelf: image: [ghcr.io/advplyr/audiobookshelf:latest](https://ghcr.io/advplyr /audiobookshelf:latest) ports: \- 13378:80 docker run -d \\ \-p 13378:80 \\ \-v \\\\wsl.localhost\\docker-desktop\\tmp\\docker-desktop-root\\con tainers\\services\\01- docker\\rootfs\\portainer\\Files\\AppData\\Config\\audiobookshelf\\con fig:/config \\ \-v \\\\wsl.localhost\\docker-desktop\\tmp\\docker-desktop-root\\con tainers\\services\\01- docker\\rootfs\\portainer\\Files\\AppData\\Config\\audiobookshelf\\met adata:/metadata \\ **-v F/audiobooks: /audiobooks \\ This is the drive my audiobooks are on.** \-v \\\\wsl.localhost\\docker-desktop\\tmp\\docker-desktop-root\\con tainers\\services\\01- docker\\rootfs\\portainer\\Files\\AppData\\Config\\audiobookshelf\\pod casts:/podcasts \\ \--name audiobookshelf \\ [ghcr.io/advplyr/audiobookshelf](https://ghcr.io/advplyr/audiobooksh elf) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-19 17:14 > I get errors when I try to deploy a stack using portainer. But youre keeping those useful errors a secret. > I am totally confused on how to point docker to the drive my audiobooks are on. Docker Desktop on Windows is absolute garbage. This wont be the first time you run into issues with it. If possible, run Docker on a actual Linux instead, it makes things much simpler. But if you insist on Windows as host, so be it. Also whatever you pasted there is half a docker-compose file, and the other half are docker run commands, you cant simply mix them, this wont work at all. Ask /r/Docker for support. And if youre afraid of using Docker directly and learning it, then just ask /r/Portainer i guess.
