Possible to backup recipes from Mealie (not through Mealie) reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- My_Trash_Name · 2023-11-19 00:38 I cannot get my RPi Mealie to respond. Instead of just reformatting and reinstalling, is there any way to backup my recipes from another computer? I have the SD plugged into my comp and I can see both folder, bootfs and rootfs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- highspeed_usaf · 2023-11-19 01:39 https://docs.mealie.io/documentation/getting-started/usage/backups- and-restoring/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BitlessByte · 2023-11-19 13:27 If using docker, you should just be able to copy the appdata directory. When you start mealie again, point it at this directory (just as you had done before) and everything should work! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- My_Trash_Name · 2023-11-19 13:50 (not through Mealie) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- highspeed_usaf · 2023-11-19 14:29 My dude, it’s right at the top of the page: Tip If you're using Mealie with SQLite all your data is stored in the /app/data/ folder in the container. You can easily perform entire site backups by stopping the container, and backing up this folder with your chosen tool. This is the best way to backup your data.
