A Single Raspberry Pi 4 reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zezimeme · 2023-11-18 18:38 How hot does it run? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HiddeHandel · 2023-11-18 18:49 Bit blurred screenshot but I guess it works ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Azerdion · 2023-11-18 18:51 What dashboard is that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- _The_Judge_ · 2023-11-18 19:00 Homepage https://github.com/gethomepage/homepage ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sycot · 2023-11-18 19:05 rPi4 is capable of running the arrs, Plex, and transmission without issue? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Azerdion · 2023-11-18 20:00 Cool! Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LastTreestar · 2023-11-18 20:25 Does one of these exist that will scan your servers and build a dashboard you can then manually configure? I can't possibly configure a hundred services manually. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Appropriate_Meat6800 · 2023-11-18 20:26 I mean rpi4 8g ram and boot on an nvmre 🥹 faster and oh so helpful 😅 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mrchuckbass · 2023-11-18 20:35 Yeah it looks cool installing all of these apps but trying to run more than a few at the same time on a Pi4 will make it slow to a crawl and then throttle and then slow even more Not exactly where you want your pihole DNS server either ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Furki1907 · 2023-11-18 21:46 Hey u/ignisseneap, looks cool! Mind sharing all your configurations so i can have some nice examples? ty! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- _The_Judge_ · 2023-11-18 21:57 I think sui does this, but I'm not sure how maintained it is anymore. Last commit was February of last year. https://github.com/jeroenpardon/sui ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Tiis__ · 2023-11-18 21:59 Yes it can. Problems only arise when video transcoding is needed. I can run 2-3 clients on my jellyfin instance if no transcoding is needed what so ever ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jerwong · 2023-11-18 22:11 Yup. I do the same thing and just use the Jellyfin app to access for instances where H265 transcoding is needed. For mine, I just have a USB 1 TB HD connected ---------------------------------------------------------------------- soulsssx3 · 2023-11-19 00:10 Is Jellyfin actually performant for you? Because last I checked, the hardware encoding that the Pi uses isn't completely yet supported in Jellyfin. I tried to play some videos but the resulting videos would take forever to load and seek. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- spicy_Fajitas · 2023-11-19 01:17 Seeing people run all these containers on a raspberry pi is crazy to me - mainly because of the storage requirements. For some reason my docker containers fill up my VM's storage really quick in the /var/lib/docker/overlay2 folder ---------------------------------------------------------------------- goodtryhoe · 2023-11-19 01:28 Plz let me know if you find anything successful of that exact manner ---------------------------------------------------------------------- crazyCalamari · 2023-11-19 01:56 Why do you use Plex and Jellyfin? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sycot · 2023-11-19 05:22 this is good to know. I never really tested it, but I discounted its ability to perform this well. although I guess without transcoding that makes sense. going to reevaluate my rpi4 setup, although I do only have 4gb ram ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WassiChain · 2023-11-19 05:47 How do you enable those status indicators on Homepage? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KillrOfLife · 2023-11-19 06:02 Homepage has the ability to check the labels in your docker compose just like traefik does ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KillrOfLife · 2023-11-19 06:03 Go look at the documentation, its very easy ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WassiChain · 2023-11-19 06:09 Ok thank you, I remember trying to find it before and couldn’t but I’ll try again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- stefantigro · 2023-11-19 06:17 It's not what you think. It can run a lot of things but it's so incredibly slow, especially if you don't have a ssd paired up, that for me it was unbearable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Faith-in-Strangers · 2023-11-19 08:03 Did you just repost my screenshot from a year ago ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Faith-in-Strangers · 2023-11-19 08:05 OP is stealing my post. I answered all questions here : https://www.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/s/rDH7srn0Rj ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fire597 · 2023-11-19 08:09 It's not exactly the same. Based on the quality provided, OP seems to screenshoot your screenshot. But then technically it is his screenshot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- selfhosted-ModTeam · 2023-11-19 09:01 Thanks for posting to /r/selfhosted.
