Filecloud docker permission issue reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BestMan8 · 2023-11-16 18:50 Hi All, I am using docker version of filecloud and have mounted external drive and have also made sure that the permissions are RW (which is default) in portainer. However, it always shows not writable under admin panel. Please provide any suggestions. PS: Other containers can use the volume without any issue. I can log into docker shell and write the mounted volume successfully. https://preview.redd.it/f1ldic0w5r0c1.png?width=811&format=png&auto=we bp&s=cd536a36c478b29b995572af0c2706a92585c474 https://preview.redd.it/s8yk8c0w5r0c1.png?width=1333&format=png&auto=w ebp&s=4bdaba8f1dd910a68bb1f96e47a13d60608591ef ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ursa_Solaris · 2023-11-16 19:55 Is the path owned by the correct user? I don't know what user Filecloud runs as in Docker, but existing permissions carry over. For instance, Nextcloud uses the standard webserver user/group, `www- data`, which is UID/GID `33:33` and all files have to be owned by that user or otherwise accessible via ACLs to work. Filecloud is likely the same. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lllllllillllllillll · 2023-11-17 09:04 Are you using the official docker image and did you run the container in privileged mode? https://hub.docker.com/r/filecloud/fileclouddocker
