I hated wasting time on writing api tests, so I made AI do it quickly for me reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Basti_W · 2023-11-16 14:10 I'm a software dev. for 10 years and worked a lot with APIs. Testing them was important, but I noticed it can be tricky. Especially, writing the tests was annoying. I’ve found no easy way around it. I made a tool that helped me gain 90% test coverage in a few minutes and with the deadline for an important project. It took me a long time in experimenting with prompting and getting it running in the CLI. I made a tool out of it and got it working for others. I have a couple of people using it already, but for the next week I opened 20 spots for a free trial. Hopefully that helps me to understand how people can use it better. So you can run it free for one month. Click on the link below to try it out. [https://ai.stepci.com/?utm\_source=reddit](https://ai.stepci.com/?utm _source=reddit) I’d love to give it for free to a few people who really need it. I hope to gain some insights and understand the use-cases better, but also help you gain test coverage. PS: Sadly for now it only works with an OpenAPI Spec. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cdemi · 2023-11-16 14:59 1) What does this have to do with self hosting? 2) Stop with the spam ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rrrmmmrrrmmm · 2023-11-16 15:05 [You still have some subreddits where you didn't spam around](https://www.reddit.com/user/Basti_W/#:~:text=I hated wasting time on writing api tests, so I made AI do it quickly for me) yet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- gyzerok · 2023-11-16 16:43 Shameless ad spam in a “nice guy” disguise..
